About Us

Theatre with a Twist Meet our founder Daniel Rowe founded Trenchcoat Theatre in 1983. Since then, the troupe has performed from New York to Georgia to Illinois operating from our Michigan base. Daniel is both a performer and director, as well as the writer in residence. He is a former peace officer and a licensed private detective who holds degrees in Communications, Theatre Arts and a doctorate in Humanities. Joan Rowe has been his tolerant and supportive helpmate for more than three and a half decades.
